Saturday October 27th, Ricky Gordon’s 10-piece New York City Jazz band is raising the bar. Wynton Marsalis affectionately calls his best friend and percussionist impresario “Dirty Red”.
The Jazz band kicks off the Spectacle at 3 pm. Tabla for Two performs under the pergola and Bruce Stanly freestyles on Trumpet. At 5 pm, Costume Prizes awarded for Scariest, Funniest, Best Political, Historical, Animal, Environmental & Overall. The Cloud Man, winner of Best Environmental 2017, still remains unknown. At dusk, Mentalist Alain Nu performs magic. A big hit with the kids last year. Bring your own kitchen spoon and "The Man Who Knows" will bend it with his mind! Alain is an International Spy Museum attraction and Inaugural Ball entertainer. Lastly, the Jazz band leads a torch-lit procession to the giant bonfire and entertains revelers in the Circle of the Standing Stones.
